The World Jr. A. Hockey Challenge wrapped up on Sunday, November 11, 2007 with the Gold Medal game at the Cominco Arena between Team Canada East and Team Canada West. For the second year in a row, players from Team Canada West are bringing home gold!
The tournament was a great success with outstanding hockey and tremendous community support. The City of Trail would like to thank Bruce LeRose, Event Chair, along with his hardworking Host Committee, for putting together this world class event for our community. We would also like to thank the City of Nelson for co-hosting the tournament, as without the combined efforts of the two communities and the countless volunteers from both Cities, the Challenge would not have been possible.
A full reporting of the tournament will be prepared and presented to City Council in the near future.
