As a compliment to the City of Trail Civic Complex
Feasibility Study completed in June 2002, Graham Edmunds was
retained by the City of Trail in April 2002 to develop a vision
for the proposed riverside walkway between the two bridges
along both banks of the Columbia River. This report will be
used by the City as a visual aid to consult with the public
throughout the development of the Civic Complex conceptual
plan.
The development of the River Walk will establish
a new focus on the Columbia River and the water edge. The
River Walk development will play a significant role in the
long-range vision of Trail and its civic amenities. The following
are a series of proposed development concepts for the River
Walk that address the changing conditions of the riverbank
and provides the users with a variety of experiences. Interventions
along the designated route are designed to support the goal
of connecting the people and visitors of Trail to the Columbia
River.
